So glad to have found these. All of the initial design issues are solved giving me the freedom to build my own custom solution for rear door storage.
Excellent product that makes DIY builds off the back of a ford transit an extremely straight forward process. I purchased both L & R door brackets and did surfboards on the right and bikes on the left using LOLO racks. The adventuremobile is now ready to hit the road!!! I love how my project came out i was looking for a hinges for a lil while then found this at etsy for my diy spare tire and a rack .i did use 4040 extrusion and made so perfect definitely i did save a thousand of dollars by doing this route i really recommend this if your looking for to save or can do a diy project for your ford transit.

Looks great I just feel it’s a little lighter duty than I hoped for. I purchased this to build a carrier for my generator. I feel the material is a little weaker than I hoped for. Hope it lasts long enough for my trip. Is stainless steel a possibility in the future? I realize there would be additional cost . I do think that the over all design and finish is good.

Thanks for your review! I'm glad you like the design and finish. Just to clear up the material, my brackets are 304 stainless steel then powder coated. The material thickness I use is the thickest that I was able to use and still fit in the cracks between the Transit doors and have minimal interference issues. The thickness is on par with other full production door carriers. Have a great trip and let me know if you have any problems with my product on your trip.
